Love the pork loin and the katsu-don. Both meat was tender and flavourful. Another must have whenever I'm in town.

Great local place that has people lining up. Good testing akamiso and good flavour on my dish.

The best katsudon in Japan..which also probably means the world...

Best don I had by far. They accept cash only, so be aware. They had an english menu and the bathroom facilities were nice for a one washroom. The staff were attentive and I would definitely come back.

The black pork tonkatsu was good but didn't think it was worth the long wait and steep price (3000 yen!). It wasn't very much better than the other tonkatsu I had outside of Japan.

The first specialty pork cutlet chain established in the Ginza, and one of the only establishments using Berkshire Pigs for its tonkatsu. In Japan, black pig is regarded as the finest and most tender pork cutlet in the world. If and when you visit here, I recommend trying the "katsu-rice" set which comes with about 120g of deep fried Berkshire Pork, Tsuyahime rice ( Yamagata's signature rice grain) pickles, and a bowl of red miso soup. Expect to may no more than 1150 yen / $12 USD. Only yes is accepted. No credit cards are accepted!

Among the OG of Tonkatsu (especially if you're Singaporean and remember the one at ION). A little off the beaten track because it's tucked away in plain sight and there's no hideous Ichiran-esque queue (for now). But make the effort to find it and you'll be rewarded with a magnificent meal of deep-fried proportions.

Great service. Good food.

The food was ok, but the place was small. Note that each person must order at least one dish and credit cards are not accepted. Expensive too.

Very nice Kurobuta tonkatsu - must use the wasabi mustard, the flavour mixed together with tonkatsu sauce really2 well.

Got a seat quickly at 3pm and was given a menu in English (hooray!). I got the set that includes a little bit of everything. But now in hindsight, I know that to he completely unnecessary. Just got the size of pork dish you'd like. That's the only thing that matters here! The rice was good, the soup was good, the spaghetti was good. The pickles, cabbage, and prawn was good. But the pork, the pork was GREAT! COME, EAT, ENJOY!

Seats are not comfortable. Food is okay but no surprise.

I'm a tonkatsu lover and this was as per the standard I always expect. Tourist friendly, in fact the place was full of foreign visitors. English menu available and spoken by staff. A great place to try a delicious Japanese dish in the heart of Ginza.

Quite small place but tastes really good! Price is bit higher than other local katsu restaurant.

One of the best Tonkatsu in my entire life!!! The waiting line you might find in the street is totally worth it!!!
KANAKO
Reasonable and absolutely fantastic katsudon you’ll have. As it’s a popular and famous, you may wait to have a seat. Generally we can finish katsudon in short time, you cannot wait so long time, I guess....

Best Katsudon around. Katsu is obviously good as well. Not super busy mid-afternoon if you're looking for a bite. Cash only.

Very decent katsu at a fair price. I went for the mixed set just to try everything out, and all of them are good. Got here around 2pm and there wasn't a line, which is a plus.

Really yummy food and the pork was delicious 🤤🤤 food typically ranges from between 1200 yen to 3200 yen (with a set so rice, miso and cabbage is included). We went at around 1pm on a Monday and only had to wait a max of 10-15 minutes outside and the food was out to us pretty quick!! The restaurant is quite small so not really good for large groups (max of 4 people would be ideal). Overall, really good service and would come back again ☺ï¸

Excellent Tonkatsu. The katsu sando was something special as well. Service was good.

Famous Tonkatsu Restaurant.Good taste!

One of my favorite Katsu places in Ginza. I always make a point to go whenever I'm here. They recently moved locations from their original location to a new location while the building is under construction and will move back once it's done in 2021!
Syugo Saito
One of my favorite Tonkatsu restaurants. Since it’s very popular, you might need to wait for several minutes especially during the dinner time, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be worth it.

Waking up very early to line up! The pork chop is very delicious and juicy. It’s different from Taiwan’s pork chop!
Jackie Cheong
Not the best but really good for its price in Ginza area. It’s priced from 1150 yen for a cutlet set of 100g of white meat. It comes with miso soup, rice and some pickles as well. However, no credit card is accepted, they only accept cash.

Super bad experience Very poor service attitude and the lousy food upsets my stomachThe price is expensive but its not worthGinza had never let me down before, yesterday was my worst dining experience in Ginza.

One of the best eating experiences I had whilst in Japan. I still think about that fatty piece of perfection tonkatsu that I ate that day. Well worth the wait and the price. If you want one of the best pieces of deep fried meat in japan, this is the place to find it.
Makutpong K.
tasty and good price.

Amazing katsudon (and spectacular miso!)
Alan Featherstone
Absolutely brill, pork katsu’s. A little pricier since they moved but the quality is still there, has a English menu too!
Tsubasa Michishita
Good quality pork cutlet at a fair price in Ginza. Although lately it's infested by tourists so line is a bit too long to justify going. They need to hurry up and finish their renovation to move back into their large location.
Michael Z
Delicious. Might queue but worth it. English, Chinese and Korean Menu available.
Rejane F
Good quality pork cutlet. They didn't have a queue on a Friday at 13:30 and was served prompt after being able to see a menu in English. And they only take cash
Urbain Emery
Famous Tonkatsu restaurant in Ginza. The price isn’t cheap compare to other similar restaurant but the quality is here. It’s a popular shop for tourists and Japanese so beware their might be a crowd. This is the new location, they were a few blocks away before.
